 DESCRIPTION:

This fun and educational program recreates the experience of our popular summer farm camp program for home school families.  With an  emphasis  on creativity, social learning, & farm animal encounters, along with gardening, outdoor play, as well as cooking and other activities the class features fun weekly themes that inspire and connect core concepts that children absorb as they learn through stories & discussion, hands-on activities, and play.

Children may join us for teacher led activities in the garden, the kitchen, the farm yard, or the outdoor art studio. Afterwards it’s time to play and explore. Will you cook up some mud pies in the outdoor play kitchen, paint at the easels, or move your body with the rope swing, the tree fort, or the trampoline? Or maybe you’ll make new friends playing in the fairy garden, putting on a puppet show, or playing a game of giant chess – it’s all up to you as you learn and grow in this fun and nurturing hands-on learning community.

Through observing wild life and participating in fun farm "chores" like feeding & petting chickens and pigs, brushing the pony, milking goats, and gardening children learn about and take joy in our natural world and acquire a deep first-hand understanding of basic natural principles.

Hands-on learning with crafts, cooking, sewing, as well as gardening and farm animals and hands-on science projects that develop creativity, self-confidence, social skills, and a deepening knowledge of the world around us. A cozy home environment and nurturing staff completes a magical childhood wonderland that children and parents love.

Little Garden Patch is tons of fun rain or shine! Our covered outdoor art studio, green houses, country kitchen, as well as our whimsical indoor play room with plenty of books, dolls, toys and games means the fun continues no matter the weather.  Please plan to dress your child in layers that will allow them to make the most of their outdoor time.

Little Garden Patch Farm is a fully licensed facility, # 444413332

What happens when it rains or turns cold?  We like to think there is no bad weather, just inappropriate gear.  So please send children with appropriate gear for outdoor play.   But with that said, when the rain is falling and the wind is gusting we have the perfect opportunity to head indoors for Legos and other building toys, doll house play, action figures, board games, puzzles, playdough, fused beads and other arts & crafts projects.  There is no shortage of things to do around here, inside and out.

If you would like more information about signing up for our Homeschool Program please send us some email!   Little Garden Patch Farm includes social learning, so the more the merrier! Please tell family and friends about our program
